Hear Ye, Hear Ye

Did you catch any of our gifted attorneys speak at one of the many presentations they were a part of last year? If you did, boy did you get a treat! You got to witness first hand the expertise, professionalism and sense of humor that are hallmarks of Lavelle & Finn attorneys. If you didn’t, don’t fret; you will get your chance this year!

Before we take a look at what’s to come, let’s take a look back at a small sample of where some of our attorneys were last year:

On October 6, Partner Marty Finn, a favorite speaker at SUNY’s College at Oneonta (New York), conducted a faculty/staff presentation titled “Cents and Sensibility: The Practical Guide to Money and Aging”.

October 21 & 22 found Marty Finn in Las Vegas at PESI’s 10th Annual Ultimate Estate, Retirement and Financial Planning Conference. He presented Top 10 Estate and Business Planning Mistakes and It’s A Matter of Trust: Ten Reasons Why Trusts Must be Part of a Client’s Estate and Financial Planning to hundreds of professional advisors in attendance.

On October 29, Partner John Lavelle shared his tax expertise when he presented the 2009 Estate Tax Update at the NYSSCPA Southern Tier annual conference in Binghamton, New York.  So popular was he that Marty Finn was invited to speak at the Syracuse chapter’s conference on November 17 and at the Mid-Hudson Chapter’s conference on November 20th. And not to be outdone, John Lavelle and attorneys Steven Thomas and Amy Earing wrapped up the 2009 Estate Tax Update on December 3rd at the organization’s tax seminar in Delmar, New York.

On November 6, Partners John Lavelle and Marty Finn teamed up to present PESI’s The Complete Trust Course in Albany, New York. This seminar is geared toward attorneys, CPAs and accountants.  In a seminar redux, attorney Amy Earing joined Marty Finn in presenting the Course on November 13 in Syracuse, New York.

Just in time for the holidays, PESI called on attorneys Marty Finn, John Lavelle and Amy Earing to present the Federal Fiduciary Course on December 11th in Poughkeepsie, New York and on December 18th in Albany.
