By way of Iowa, Colin has come to love the Capital Region and all that Upstate New York has to offer. Experiencing family loss in his youth, Colin has a reverent appreciation for the importance and sensitivity of estate planning and estate administration. With this in mind, he strives to deliver personable legal services to clients every day.
Colin attended the University of Northern Iowa before moving to Brooklyn, New York, working as an art handler for a reputable art handling company. In this role, he dedicated his craft to fabricating artisanal art-storage crates to safely preserve and transport works of art for museums and private collectors. Through this experience, he resonated with the importance of custom-tailoring plans to meet each art piece’s unique dimensions. Colin continues to wield that tailor-fit approach toward the needs of clients, ensuring they receive the highest level of expertise in all of our practice areas.
While living in Brooklyn, Colin enthusiastically explored upstate New York before enrolling at Albany Law School in the accelerated Juris Doctor program. During this time, he interned for the Franklin H. Williams Judicial Commission within the New York State Unified Court System.

Before joining Lavelle & Finn, Colin worked for a large Long Island-based law firm, defending national and regional insurers against fraudulent healthcare claims.
Today, Colin serves clients with their estate planning, estate administration, tax, and corporate needs. He is delighted to work with the Lavelle & Finn family and provide his services to best meet our clients’ needs.
